How to Put the Pieces Apart While Cutting?

To be able to remove any piece from the cut image and then turn the piece, change its location, etc. (like in the on-line Gallery's sample A7 - "A "classic" puzzle " or B1 - "Curly Puzzle") you should save your cut image as a PSD file and then open this file in your image editing application (host) and use the host's tools for moving, rotation, etc. any piece. Here is the detailed instructions on how to do this:
  1. When you are happy with the layout (number of rows and columns, thickness of the Splitter, etc., see User Guide, p.39) click the Cut button. Once the image has been cut up, the Main Window of the plug-in switches to the Puzzle Mode.

  2. Now you can adjust the pieces' effects (bevel, opacity, etc), turn off, if necessary, some pieces.

  3. Now instead of clicking the Apply button in order to cut your image into pieces inside your host you should choose the "Save selected pieces as PSD" menu item under Main menu of the plug-in. (Just be sure that you have selected the desired pieces before calling this command.)

Note! In the PSD document each selected piece will be saved in a separate layer and all the rest (non-selected) pieces will be saved in the single layer named "Composite."

  4. Close the plug-in and open this, just saved, PSD file in your host. Then, use the host's tools for dragging, turning, etc any piece as you wish.
