Q: What is a Photoshop plugin?
A: The term plugin (or plug-in) means an additional program, which works under another program (host) and enhances the host's capabilities. Sometimes the plug-in is called an add-on.
Photoshop plugin (or Photoshop plug-in) is the most commonly used definition for a filter plug-in (8bf) for Adobe Photoshop and compatible hosts such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Image Ready, Adobe Fireworks (formerly Macromedia Fireworks), Corel Paint Shop Pro, Corel Photo-Paint, Ulead PhotoImpact, etc. Sometimes Photoshop plugin is also called a Photoshop filter.
Q: What is a Photoshop script?
A: A script is a computer language, which is used for manipulating the parameters and functions of the host. In our case, the hosts are ONLY Adobe Photoshop CS and CS2. Neither earlier versions of Adobe Photoshop, nor other hosts are supported.

A: You may purchase the upgrade.
Q: Can I purchase the boxed version of your Photoshop plugins?
A: No, you cannot. Currently all of our products are only downloadable. But, if you want to have them on CD, then you, according to the License Agreement, can make a backup copy of the products (e.g. by burning a CD-R).
Q: How can I purchase your impressive setup tool, which comes along with the Windows versions of your Photoshop plugins?
A: Our setup tool is for our internal usage only. Currently, it is not available for purchase.

Q: Are your Photoshop plug-ins compatible with Photoshop CS3?
A: Yes, the new AV Bros. Page Curl Pro 2.2 and AV Bros. Puzzle Pro 2.2 are FULLY compatible with Adobe Photoshop CS3, including support of the Smart Filters option of this host! Please note that all said above is NOT related to AV Bros. Page Curl 2.0, which has not been "adjusted" for CS3.
Q: Do the new versions of your Photoshop plugins work under Mac OS X on Intel-based Mac?
A: Yes, the new AV Bros. Page Curl Pro 2.2 and AV Bros. Puzzle Pro 2.2 are Universal Applications and, as a result, they work fine under Mac OS X on Intel-based Mac.
Q: Do your Photoshop plugins work under Mac OS X?
A: Yes, they do. But be aware that our filters do NOT work under Mac OS 9.x.
Q: Do you recommend removing the earlier versions of your Photoshop plugins prior to installing the most recent ones?
A: As you wish... There are no technical problems if all versions are installed on your system.
Q: What is the time limit on the Demo versions of your Photoshop plugins?
A: There is NO time limit on the Demo versions of our filters. We use other methods to protect them.
Q: Why are your Photoshop plug-ins grayed out in the Filter menu of Photoshop?
A: Please check the image, to which you are about to apply the particular plugin. This image should be a raster image (8 bits per channel) in the color mode supported by the plugin (RGB, Grayscale or CMYK). The non-compliance with this statement is the only known reason of this problem.
Q: How do I get rid of the text "Demo Version", which is all over my image after applying your Photoshop filters?
A: This text is the protection of the Demo versions of our plugins. This will not appear on images if you use the purchased version of either of our plugins.
Q: I am working on Mac OS X. When I tried to start your Photoshop plugins, which I previously installed in my host, I received NOTHING (neither the filter's window, nor even a message). What is the problem?
A: The problem is that instead of dragging the entire folder of the plug-in into the plug-ins folder of your host, you only placed the .8bf file.
Q: How should I learn using your Photoshop plugins and how do I create those impressive images from your gallery?
A: Please read both the User Guide, which ships with either filter, and the Tutorials (if present) on our site. And, of course, play with the particular plug-in, because the practice is a great teacher.
Q: Can I update the DEMO versions of your Photoshop plug-ins to the fully functional products, after purchasing? The DEMO versions are still installed on my system.
A: You cannot update the DEMO version. When you decide to purchase either of our plugins, you will need to download the full version of this filter and install it on your system. For your convenience, we recommend that you remove the DEMO version of the plug-in from your system. (Otherwise there will be both versions in your image editing application.) A: As was said in the User Guide (p.45) of this plug-in, the Ambient Light Auto-Adjust option behaves correctly ONLY if the area, on which this option affects, is parallel to the background (The area's Altitude equal to 90 degrees.) and the light source(s) that you are using for lighting up that area is(are) the white color(s) with a positive intensity.

  1. You have NOT selected any pieces. After selecting at least one piece, the menu item will become active.

  2. The document, with which you operate, is in a color mode other than RGB.

Q: I cannot open the HELP. PDF file (User Guide): I just see the blank (empty) page. I am using Mac OS X.
A: This is because you have tried to open this file using the Mac OS X built-in viewer. The HELP file of AV Bros.
